Alkaline materials will be emitted from concrete, plaster, mortar etc. These emissions or other materials containing fluorine or acid will invariably lead to staining of the glass surface. Furthermore, grease, oil and other contaminants must be removed immediately through cleaning by washing, rinsing and drying.
Washing tools and towels must be free of abrasive particles to avoid scratching the coating or the glass.
Do not use abrasive glass cleaning products or compounds likely to generate any salts or acids.
Cleaning with the help of solvents must be immediately followed by normal washing, rinsing and drying.
For non-coated glass, a mild soap of neutral (pH) detergent can be used followed immediately by rinsing with clean water. Excess water must be removed immediately.
Materials recommended for the cleaning of the coated surface are isopropyl alcohol, acetone or methanol.
UNIGLASS recommends periodic and proper maintenance of the glass which entails external and internal washing.
